    Hi everybody!

It’s been almost a month since my last post! I’m still very uninspired but the bright side is that i’m ready to get back to work again.
The color (or lack thereof) in this photo reflects my inspiration. I don’t really know what caused me to lose my will and inspiration, but i guess it just happens to everyone, every once in a while. I still took photos these past days, but they don’t look good to me. They might be good, but to me they’re not. It’s such a bad and irritating feeling, but i’m glad it’s gone! ๐Ÿ™‚
I’ve been thinking that my photography could use a few more humans, cities and macros, so i’m going to explore these next month. ๐Ÿ™‚ I’m also thinking that I should buy a 10 stop ND filter to create really long exposures, it’s something that I’ve always wanted to explore as well.

Anyway, I hope you’re all well! Don’t forget to leave a comment so I can see what you’ve been up to! ๐Ÿ˜€

    HDR.
Location: Sรฃo Vicente โ€“ Madeira Island โ€“ Portugal
    Shutter speed: almost 1 minute.
    F: /3.5
    Focal Length: 15mm

    filter: Hoya 72mm pro1 CP
PS: My model ran away so I had to take his place.
It’s not easy to stand still for 1 minute, especially when you’re listening to music.
PPS: I don’t remember the tune but it was probably a good one.

    1. This is a STUNNING photo, my friend! Having read your post, I felt a need comment.

It’s important for we creative types to realize that even when we are not feeling the inspiration to continue our work, we never know when something we deem ‘not so good’ ends up inspiring others. I consider that a pretty good reason to simply continue in whatever capacity we’re able, which you’re doing.

Coming back to this photo, you’ve said it yourself: ‘It represents your inspiration’.
      INSPIRATION

If I’m not mistaken, the word, or a part of it, comes from the Latin, ‘to breathe’… ‘in’ = inside… it’s where all of our answers are located.

All that to say perhaps you’ve not lost anything. It’s at rest within you and you reached it to touch it and out came this gorgeous photo!

      …just saying…

      • Such a beautiful comment, thank you very much!! ๐Ÿ˜€

And yes i agree, the worse part about losing our inspiration within us is the self-doubt that comes with it, sometimes we feel that our work isn’t good enough when in fact, it is still good. I’m glad to say that mine was just taking a nap somewhere and I woke it up hehe ๐Ÿ˜€ I really hope to create great stuff now that i’m feeling better, I will try to do so this weekend. ๐Ÿ˜€

Again, thank you very much for your comment, whenever i’m feeling a bit uninspired i’ll come back here and read it!! ๐Ÿ™‚

    2. Diogo, I’ve missed you. We all go through dry periods, for reasons for A-Z. But know this, always always always after the dry period comes a bounty so huge that it just about blows you away. Yes, it is coming, really. Why do I say this? Because it has happened to me, and every time I am in that dry spell, I wonder if I will ever blossom again. And then I do even better and bigger then before. The same holds true for you! I promise you! (((HUGS))) Amy

      • Hello Amy, I missed you too! ๐Ÿ˜€ Thank you very much for your support, you’re very kind!
I believe you, I already feel it! I hope it doesn’t rain this weekend because i have a bunch of photos in mind that i really need to create before i forget them hehe. Some of them include ice, so those are gonna have to wait quite a bit ๐Ÿ™‚ Hugs to you as well, and i hope you’ve been using your new gear! ๐Ÿ˜€

        • LOL Use my new gear? I’ve been behind the 8 ball, Diogo, running around like a mad woman getting photos. I lost 14,000 of my pics (orignals) when I um dropped my external HD. No, I haven’t been to Niagara Falls either. BUT!!! In all the excitement, I am seeing a difference in my NEW photos. And I am also learning so much in my NEW photo apps and software as well. I haven’t been able to breathe to even think about getting new gear. That’s gonna have to wait. LOL I hope YOU got the chance to get some new gear and are now arriving at a place to experiment. What FUN!!! Let’s hope it doesn’t rain so that you can shoot to your Heart’s delight this weekend!!! (((HUGS))) Amy

            • I went out, got the shots I wanted, but I THINK I had the wrong AWB on. I will try to fix that in Lightroom IF I did. I was in such a hurry to beat the rain. LOL I still got sprinkled on, so I had a washcloth over my camera to keep it dry. I have rain jackets as well for my camera, but I have to shoot in MF due to my AF dying. It’s a bit cumbersome to shoot MF with a rain jacket. Ahhhh …… what can I say? LOL The day in the life of me ….. ๐Ÿ™‚ Love, Amy

            • Not really. I may be able to create magic in the editing room. I was too “worried” about getting my camera wet and didn’t relax. At least they are photos I can experiment with to see if I can make them look spectacular. Always a learning lesson in Life … always. LOL ๐Ÿ™‚

But that didn’t stop me from riding, pffff! ๐Ÿ˜€ ( i hope i don’t get sick because of it lol)

            • I have more then enough faith that you wont’ get sick. Take some Vita C if you have it and drinks lots of water. Good for you for NOT letting a little somethiing like rain to stop you. I’ve been working in the editing room for hours, yiveh, and for some reason I liked Snapseed tonight. I have one photo coming that was really challenging ….trees in shadow, foliage in twilight light, and me FACING the sun. Yep, it only took um three tries to get this photo to come in the way I want it to. Grrrrr ….. I have quite a selection this week. I’m really trying to do other then flowers. I LOVE LOVE LOVE flowers yet, there is SO much other to shoot. The one you did of bubbles blew me away. Creative juices are running. Very cool. And for the life of me I am not even able to remember your last shot. EEK! Im braindead from being in the editing room too long. I”M DONE for the night! Whew! (((HUGS))) Amy

      • Hiii Alex, it’s great to see you around here!! ๐Ÿ˜€ Well i’ll tell you what happened, and mind you, this is a true story!!
I had to stand really still because there was a little crab on my foot and they say that if you move, they’ll get scared and prick you! So i couldn’t move!! Eventually it got hungry and went back to sea! I thought “Well, now’s the time to get the hell out of here!” but little did I know of the crabs’ intentions! It went to sea to call his friends and family, telling them that he found a super cool and weirdly shaped rock for them to live in! (i’m not sure if this is what the crab said, i’m just assuming) So anyway they started dragging me to sea with them but once i noticed what was going on i grabbed the little crab and i told them to “Let me go or this little crab is going to sleep with the fishies tonight”. Apparently crabs are scared of fishies so they let me go and I had crab and fishies for dinner! ๐Ÿ˜€
