• Apparently the freezer door didn’t close properly yesterday and today it had a huge block of ice “growing” inside! So… instead of getting rid of the ice, I picked my camera and tripod and started taking photos! πŸ˜€
I took a whole bunch of them but these 3 are the best, where we can see the spikes and textures and all that. πŸ™‚
    Oh if only I had a Macro lens…! πŸ˜€

Location: Home – Madeira island – Portugal
Shutter speed: 1/400 to 1.3 seconds.
    F: /0.0 to 5.6
Focal Length: reversed 50mm and 300mm
    ISO: 100
    filter: none

      • Thank you, I really like them too! πŸ˜€ Nah not at all, there was something inside that didn’t let the door close properly but the freezer was still working normally so nothing happened πŸ˜€ Lucky I guess!

    1. Haha, that’s the mark of a true photographer, when in a “disaster” the first thing you think is to get your camera! Really cool photos πŸ˜€ If i understood correctly you reversed your lens for these? Some times that works better than a macro lens, let’s you get really close!

      • Hehe True, I’m glad it didn’t defrost or i’d have to get my hands on all the food and eat it! Lol πŸ˜€ Only the last photo was taken with a reversed lens, the others were taken with a 300mm lens πŸ™‚ I tried taking more but they were all out of focus, it’s really hard to focus with a reversed lens, surprise surprise :-p

What do you think? Let's hear it! :)
